Healthcare in the Wild: Create Amor’s Heartfelt Festival Moments
Written by Kirsty McMasterPicture this: Sweat beading on your forehead, feet a little sore from breaking in those cowboy boots last night, and a plate of the best Tex-Mex you’ve ever tasted waiting for you. Most importantly? You’re surrounded by thousands of Austin locals and music fans from all over, all here for one reason: the music.
This is Austin City Limits.
What’s ACL?
Austin City Limits, or ACL, is Austin’s iconic annual music festival, held in Zilker Park every October. It’s where music lovers from across the country come to vibe out, discover new artists, and enjoy that laid-back Austin energy.
Healthcare Worker by Day, Music Junkie by Night
Our healthcare community works hard all year long, so where do they go when they finally get a day off? You might just find them at ACL, getting their own dose of downtime and good tunes.
As a brand that loves to support our healthcare community, we couldn’t miss the chance to hang out in Austin, connect with new friends, and maybe even spot some healthcare workers out in the wild. Our goal? To celebrate the hard work they put in and the importance of finding balance—because hey, they deserve to have some fun, too.
The Create Amor ACL Recap
Austin City Limits Create Amor Recap
To capture the weekend, we hit up social media with interviews, short videos, and stories to show how healthcare pros find time for themselves. We got to meet some amazing people, like Raquelle Akaan, PA professor and founder of PA Moms, who shared her own tips on balance and making space for what matters. For Raquelle, “taking time to be in the moment” and practicing self-renewal rituals—like family hikes—are key to feeling recharged.
We even got a peek behind the scenes with healthcare workers in the festival’s medical tents. From hydration tips to taking shady breaks, they gave us the best insider life hacks for surviving a day at ACL.
And of course, we squeezed in some time to catch a few sets. Highlights? Jungle, Prom Queen, The Beaches, and of course, Dua Lipa.
Fit Check!
Let’s be real: Music festivals double as fashion shows. Austin wouldn’t be Austin without some seriously unique style! We met up with a few healthcare workers in the crowd and asked them to show off their festival looks. From animal prints to fun layering, they brought all the style inspiration.
And naturally, we snapped some photos because pics or it didn’t happen, right?

Scrubs at a Music Festival?
Okay, we know it sounds a little wild…but we decided to bring our Create Amor scrubs to ACL. We wanted to show just how versatile these pieces are—no office required. With our Black Ivy Joggers and Daisy Cargo Scrub pants, we proved scrubs can absolutely handle a festival. Not to brag, but we got a lot of compliments. Most people didn’t even realize we were wearing scrubs!
What We Learned
At Create Amor, we’re all about supporting the people who keep us going. Healthcare workers show up for us every day, and this weekend reminded us just how important it is for them to take a break, too. And hey, we had a lot of fun showing up for them at ACL!
While ACL is over, the fun doesn’t end here. Follow along on our next adventure (or music festival!) on social media @createamor.
Where should we go next?
